Employment Application

All new employees will undergo a 90-day probationary period. Any full-time employee that completes this period is eligible for our insurance and paid time off benefits. 

• FREE Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance for the employee, spouse, and eligible dependents
• FREE Life Insurance up to $50k for the employee
• (Optional) discounted Short and Long-term Disability policies for the employee
• Accrual based Paid Time Off: 2 weeks for the first year of employment, 3 weeks per year through year 5, and 4 weeks per year after 5 years of employment
• Option between a company provided phone or $25 monthly reimbursement towards your phone bill to ensure we always have a way to reach you

GTG takes safety very seriously. We send our newest employees to receive all certifications that we require. We hold mandatory safety meetings every month for these employees, to ensure all certifications stay up to date. We also hold mandatory fit testing once a year for all field employees. 

To ensure our employees are able to wear the required clothing when we send them into the field, field employees are given the opportunity each year to purchase 5 sets of FR clothing through GTG and pay it back within a year’s worth of payroll deductions. 

New employees will be able to get 2 sets after they have completed their probationary period, and the remaining 3 sets after they have completed 6 months. During the probationary period, they are eligible for two pairs of coveralls at no cost, or they can wear their own FR. 

Field employees can also qualify for a free pair of steel-toe boots up to $200 each year, if they have no incidents within that year. 

  GTG Automation knows how hard affordable housing can be in west Texas. That’s why they created and run another entity called RDG Rentals. RDG owns several homes in Andrews and rents them out exclusively to GTG’s employees. Through this set up, employees can enjoy agreeable rates that are automatically payroll deducted every two weeks. Not only that, but GTG’s plumbing and HVAC departments are able to resolve issues on these homes quicker than third parties in the area. Availability is limited, so be sure to put your name on the waitlist if you are interested! 

GTG holds two yearly events for its employees and families. 

During the summer we host a baseball or picnic event within an hour’s distance of our office. This event is to connect with our customers, vendors, and fellow employees.

During the month of December, we invite employees to Prime Time Event Center in Abilene, Texas. We host a lunch with games and contests, enjoy the attractions there, and check in to company provided hotel rooms for the night. This event is focused on creating a family friendly environment that is special to all of the children involved.

 GTG’s owner also founded a non-profit organization called What Yeshua Can Do. They are mostly known for bringing Christian concerts to the Andrews area with bands like Newsboys, We Are Messengers, and Switchfoot. When they do, members of the GTG family often step in to volunteer at these events, lending their helping hands on these wonderful nights. What Yeshua Can Do also operates a Parents’ Day Out program called Life Kids, where children from newborn through pre-k come in twice a week. Eventually, they plan to extend to a full school, run 5 days a week, that teaches God’s will and life skills. With everything being taught in today’s education system, they want to provide a safe place for the children of our community to learn through God’s vision. Check out their web page at wycd.org
